Who we are

Today, Droid Labs is 100% free to use and is not designed to generate a profit. Running the platform does come at a cost, especially because every AI-generated upgrade plan requires computing resources, but those plans are currently offered free of charge.

Our first goal is to find out whether Droid Labs is genuinely useful and to bring together a community of people who enjoy exploring, modifying, and improving robots. We want to create a place where open-source robotics, practical experimentation, and shared knowledge can grow together.

The project may evolve over time. We cannot rule out introducing paid features in the future, particularly for companies that want to showcase or reference their robots, products, or services on the platform. If that happens, we will be transparent about it and keep the interests of the community at the heart of our decisions.

For now, the philosophy is simple: help people get more from the robots they already own, and build a community around learning, creating, and pushing robotics further.
